"Khagol Varta" is
the Registred bimonthly magazine of Khagol Mandal, being
published from 1986. It is free for the members and is
full of information on Astronomy and current astronomical
events. It also informs the members about the programmes
that are organized by Khagol Mandal and the report on the
activities. The detailed information about the planets of
our Solar System, their positions in the sky of
that month is also included.
The basic information about
the astronomy and astrophysics is provided by the first
book published by Khagol Mandal named "Khagol
Parichay"(meaning Introduction to Astronomy). The
book contained the information about the Solar
System, The stars
and all the primary information about the Universe.
Taking the opportunity of
the Total Solar Eclipse-95, Khagol Mandal published a series
of 12 booklets, by the name of "Totality". Each
issue contains the interviews with the experts,
information about the Sun and about the Eclipse. "Totality"
served as the source of every sort of information about Total
Solar Eclipse.
On the occasion of Total Solar
Eclipse-99, Khagol Mandal published a complete book
on the Solar Eclipse named "Khagras"(meaning
Totality). This book provides every information about the
Eclipse, the stories related to Eclipse,
information about the Sun
and the care that should be taken while observing the Eclipse.
Khagol Mandal has also published the book on the Comets named "Dhumketu"(meaning
Comet). The book contains the information about the
comets, where from they come? how many comets are there?
